Factory To Host Paradise PTO Holiday Boutique BY ANN MEAD ASH
t had been many years since the Paradise PTO had held a holiday boutique for students to shop for their family members. In 2019, PTO members decided to hold a boutique fundraiser in the school library during recess. “Last year was insanity,” recalled Christy Fieldsa, one of the organizers of the event. “It was all hands-on deck.”

With last years’ experience in the past and with COVID-19 restrictions in mind, Fieldsa has joined forces with fellow PTO member Katie Knaub and Factory Ministries staff members Karla Neff and Lauren Petersheim to hold the 2020 boutique in the Together Community Center, 3293 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise. Shopping appointments will be assigned during the following days and times: Monday, Nov. 30, from 2 to 5 p.m.; Tuesday,
Dec. 1, from 6 to 8 p.m.; Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 2 to 5 p.m.; Thursday, Dec. 3, from 2 to 5 p.m.; and Friday, Dec. 4, from 2 to 8 p.m. Paradise Elementary students will receive an invitation through the school. Half of the invitation explains how the boutique will work, and the other half provides a place for a student to complete a shopping list with the name of the gift recipient and the amount of money the student may spend
on that person. The invitation also contains a QR code and shopper sign-up link so that families can make an appointment to shop. Students from two families will shop during each 20-minute appointment. Extended families may sign up together and those with immunodeficiencies may make special arrangements. Masks will be required, as will hand washing or sanitizing prior to shopping. A wrapping station
