“Our goal is to provide activities, enrichment, and lunch” of July 20 and 27. Each program will run from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Children may enjoy their lunch in the park or take it home. Parent or caregiver supervision is required for children to take part. Lunches may be taken home to siblings who cannot attend. Lunches will consist of a variety of food items, including sandwiches, crackers, cheese, meat,

vegetables, and snacks. During the final Lunch and Learn on Aug. 3, a pizza party will be held and children will have an opportunity to choose back-to-school supplies provided by Bellevue Presbyterian Church. “Each of the children will have ‘Back-to-school bucks’ (to spend). They can shop for all the supplies they want in the park,” said Eckert. It is necessary for students to be registered for the program so that plenty of food is prepared for all. Students may register at https://tinyurl.com/pvllearn. Questions should be directed to Eckert at Lisa_eckert@pequea valley.org or 717-381-5020 or to Beiler at karla@thefactory ministries.com or 717-687-9594, ext. 206.

Students who reside in the Pequea Valley School District area are invited to Paradise Park on Wednesdays for Lunch and Learns.

Connie Dienner, founder of Cavod, a performing arts school located in New Holland, likes to point out that one of the organization’s missions is to value the God-given gifts in each person and then to work to develop those gifts under Cavod’s goal to “Create With Purpose.” Those concepts will be on display when Cavod holds its annual spring dance concert at Lancaster Mennonite School’s Calvin and Janet High Fine Arts Center, 2176 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, on Thursday, June 16, and Cavod Academy will hold its yearly dance concert on two consecutive nights Friday, June 17, at 7 p.m. each evening. at Lancaster Mennonite School’s Calvin and Janet High Fine Arts Center.
