In 2017, a downpour interrupted the ride, and in 2018, the day started rainy, but cleared up later on. The lack of sun in recent years, however, has not deterred club members. “Our target is 150 riders,” said organizer Steve Bareuther. This year’s ride will be held rain or shine on Saturday, May 11, beginning at the Manheim Township Community Park, 209 Petersburg Road, Neffsville. Historical Society To Host Presentation On 1939-40 World’s Fair By Marcella Peyre-Ferry

When Pequea Valley Intermediate School (PVIS) held its semiannual book fair from March 13 to 22, an enterprising student offered the bookworms who visited a chance to enjoy something yummy while they perused the book fair’s offerings while raising funds for a good cause. Freddie Eby, a student who already runs a weekly coffee cart for the PVIS staff, introduced Freddie’s Starbooks Café, which featured a menu of treats and beverages including hot chocolate, crispy rice and marshmallow bars, brownies, cupcakes, and more. PVIS Student Entrepreneur Raises Funds For Classmate

31 Center St., Intercourse, will offer Plant the Seed of Learning (PTSL), a series of classes for children from birth to age 2. for players age 60 and over, is looking for individuals interested in playing on one of the 13 established teams for the 2019 softball season. The season will begin play on Monday, April 29. Players over age 60 and 59-year-olds who will turn 60 in 2019 are eligible to join an existing team. Some individuals age 59 may also be eligible.
