Penn Manor Thespians To Stage “Almost, Maine” Penn Manor Productions’ fall play, “Almost, Maine,” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 22 and 23, in the auditorium at Penn Manor High School, 100 E. Cottage Ave., Millersville. Tickets will be required for admission, and separate prices have been set for adults and for students and senior citizens. Tickets may be purchased by visiting http://pennmanor.seat yourself.biz or by calling the box office at 717-872-9520, ext. 1958, to request an order form. All seats are reserved. “Almost, Maine” was written by John Cariani and debuted to great acclaim in Portland, Maine, in 2004. The fictional town of Almost is so far north it is almost not in the United States - it is almost in Canada. And it almost does not exist because its residents never got around to getting organized. So, it is just … Almost.

The play, which is actually a set of nine short plays, is set on a cold, clear night in the middle of winter. While the Northern Lights hover in the sky, the residents of Almost find themselves falling in and out of love in the strangest ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. Love is lost, found, and confounded. And life for the people of Almost, Maine, will never be the same. The play’s tagline is “It’s love, but not quite.” Penn Manor’s production will feature high school students Rowan Brooks, Lindsey Witmer, True Herbert, Leilani Torres, Alden Kreider, Emily Witmer, Josy Ebersole, Seaerra Barshinger, Colin Rost, Julie Raugh, Jaden Smith, Nathan Thompson, Dylan Marchio, Eibhlin Arvizu, Alaynis Velazquez, Max Ponton, Holly Wagner, and Damian Allman. Nathan Thompson and Ashlee Mendez-Gomez are the understudies.

Penn Manor High School students will present “Almost, Maine” on Nov. 22 and 23.
