The Millersville Parade Committee Announces its Summer Gift Basket Gift Basket
The Millersville Woman’s Club (MWC) recently announced the winners of the 2022 scholarships and academic achievement awards for seniors at Penn Manor High School and the Career and Technology Centers (CTC).
The 2022 MWC $1,000 scholarship winners include Karly Kabakjian, Betty Gurtizen Health Careers Scholarship; Dylan Wenger, Jean Roth Academic Scholarship; and Leah Stover, Evelyn Wild Academic Scholarship.
Achievement awards in the amount of $200 each were given to Leah Stover, art; Riley Peart, English; Maggie Eckroat, math; Grace Fafel, music; Natalie Krahulik, science; and Devyn Mauger, social studies. CTC achievement awards, also $200 each, were presented to Sujata Biswa, Brownstown; Carter Gordon, Mount Joy; Thomas Daily, Willow Street; and Ruth Valdez-Felix, Willow Street.
Maxwell Bushong was named Student of the Year and was awarded a medal and $100. Fatuma Mussa was selected as the 2022 HOBY student.

St. Paul Lutheran Church, 222 N. George St., Millersville, will host “Food Truck Party” vacation Bible school (VBS) from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7, through Thursday, Aug. 11. The program is open to children age 4 through those entering grade six.
VBS will feature music, crafts, Bible stories, games, and snacks. Food trucks will be on-site at the church on Aug. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. and will be open to the children, their families, and the public.
