t’s another summer of making a splash at the Millersville Lions Club Pool. The pool, located at 314 N. Prince St., Millersville, is set to host its annual “Splash Parties” this summer across the months of June, July and August. The Millersville Lions Club Pool is a membership-based establishment. The splash parties open the pool up to nonmembers, raise money for charity and provide both food and entertainment to those who attend. The first party of the summer was held on June 17. The second, to be held on Wednesday, July 15, will raise money for Breakthrough T1D, formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Last year’s June splash party raised $4,000 for Breakthrough T1D. Other events, benefiting organizations like Make-A-Wish America and Aaron’s Acres and causes such as autism awareness, See Splash pg 4 Splash parties usually have around 700 people in attendance.

Volunteers Help Samaritan Center Hit Home Runs BY JEFF FALK
It is not enough to appreciate the contributions of volunteers. Nonprofit organizations must express that appreciation. At its upcoming event, the Samaritan Center will validate the contributions its volunteers constantly and consistently make.
See Cruisers pg 5 The show usually pulls in around 300 to 400 vehicles.
