VisionCorps Slates Rappeling Fundraiser VisionCorps will host Eye Drop 2026 on Friday, June 5, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Lancaster, 26 E. Chestnut St., Lancaster. The rappelling event aims to raise awareness and funding to support the organization, which is celebrating 100 years of service. VisionCorps is a nonprofit with a goal of empowering people of all ages who are blind or vision impaired, allowing them to attain independence. Headquartered in downtown Lancaster since its founding, VisionCorps serves almost 2,000 individuals, providing services in five counties: Adams, Chester, Lancaster, Lebanon, and York. The organization also offers prevention of blindness services, including KidSight screenings for more than 12,000 preschoolers each year. VisionCorps also provides employment opportunities. Eye Drop 2026 will feature about 100 participants, each

which provided the logistical and financial backbone for the season; Music For Everyone, which contributed essential instruments and gear; and parent volunteers, who dedicated countless hours to travel, equipment management, and student support.

fter seven years of growth and competition, the Penn Manor Indoor Percussion (PMIP) unit reached a milestone on May 2, securing a second-place finish at the Tour nament of Bands Indoor Association (TIA) Championships in Wildwood, N.J. The event marked the first time in the program’s history that the unit, directed by Joe Fuscia, has competed on such a prestigious stage, let alone stood on the podium. The 23-student unit entered the championships with momentum, as just weeks prior, it had captured first place at the Northern York Regionals, posting a record-breaking score of 91.05. However, halfway through PMIP’s final performance at the championships, the group faced an unexpected obstacle: a power fault in its inverter.
