The week was created to recognize the importance of emergency medical services (EMS) and to honor the first responders who provide life-saving medical care. “EMS STRONG - National EMS Week has been declared by Gov. Tom Wolf, who encourages all citizens to recognize the value and the accomplishments of EMS providers and to thank them for their invaluable service to our communities,” said Marisa Seubert, marketing and development coordinator for Lancaster EMS.
