Once every two years, students in the youth ministry at Willow Street Mennonite Church (WSMC) go on a foreign mission trip during the summer. To fund these trips, the church typically hosts a benefit auction; however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there has not been an auction since April 2018. Well, that’s about to change. The public is invited to attend WSMC’s benefit auction, which will take place at the church, 399 E. Penn Grant Road, Willow Street, on Saturday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The doors will open at 9:30 a.m.
The return of the annual PA Family Travel Fair will offer opportunities to see mascots, experience magic, and even meet a few Keystone State cowboys.

Happy Valley Adventure Bureau, which focuses on the Penn State area. Visit Lawrence County will also make its first appearance this year. Returning exhibitors will include premier sponsor Endless Mountains Visitors Bureau, which will give away a vacation for four valued at $2,000, including lodging, food, and passes to attractions. “Explore Altoona will be there, and they will bring members with them,” said Royal, who mentioned that DelGrosso’s and Fort Roberdeau Historic Site will be represented at the Altoona booth. With that in mind, Royal has lined up a balloon magic show, a few lovable mascots, reptiles, and a special passport game with a prize designed to make children smile for this year’s fair. The fair, which was first held in 2018, was held virtually in 2020 and canceled in 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions. For 2022, the free event will include exhibitors, amusements, food trucks, and opportunities to win
