A Karen Music Benefit Concert will take place on Sunday, March 22, at 6 p.m. at Habecker Mennonite Church, 451 Habecker Church Road, Lancaster. Various ensembles of youths and young adults will sing traditional Karen songs as well as a capella hymns in English and Karen. A freewill offering will be received. The Knights of Columbus Council 17028 will sponsor a basket bingo event on Sunday, March 22, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Millersville. The annual student ministries benefit auction at Manor Church, 530 Central Manor Road, Lancaster, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 21. The goal for the event is to raise the approximately $30,000 needed to help youth group members go on mission trips this summer. “We have a variety of items from local businesses and within the church community,” said Beau Walmer, the new student ministries director. Walmer began working at Manor Church in August 2019, filling the position vacated by Ryan Cobb, who became associate pastor at the church in May 2019. While items keep arriving at the

Manor Church Students To Hold Benefit Auction

The doors to Cinderella’s Closet will once again be thrown open just in time for Penn Manor High School’s prom. The Cinderella’s Closet event will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Friday, March 27, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 222 George St., Millersville. The rear entrance is accessible from High School Avenue. The Millersville Lioness Lions Club hosted its first Cinderella’s Closet last year and was pleased with the outcome. “It went really well. We gave out about 40 dresses,” club president Phyllis Ream reported. Club members were thrilled with the community response, as more than 100 new and gently used gowns were donated for the event.
