OAHS Career Fair Showcases Job Options By Marcella Peyre-Ferry

During Oxford Area High School’s (OAHS) annual Career Fair on Nov. 15, more than 40 different careers were represented by presenters from local businesses, colleges, military groups, law enforcement and emergency services. All students from freshmen to seniors were able to visit the rows of tables set up with displays and information, plus they had the chance to talk with people who are actively involved in the represented fields. The career fields covered everything from the visual and performing arts to engineering and medical fields. Some careers represented require advanced degrees, while requirements for others can be obtained through technical schools or apprenticeships. See OAHS Career Fair pg 2

Members of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club at Oxford Area High School (OAHS), including (left photo, from left) Noah Hewes, Lauren Neskie, Chloe Campbell and Jacob Hewes, helped set up for OAHS’ annual Career Fair on Nov. 15. One of the guest speakers was Wilmington Police Department bomb squad coordinator Jason Dolinger (right photo), who brought a bomb squad robot and bomb-sniffing dog to the event.
