he Righteous Clothing Thrift Store, 317 Main St., Parkesburg, has a new look. Volunteers have been busy for the past several weeks rearranging merchandise; adding numerous display cases, including new shelving in the front window; and placing clothing on hangers that was previously stored in bins. There is also a new blue banner out front and new lettering on the front door. Jody Bush, chairperson, said the goal of the store’s rebranding is to maximize the use of space and make shopping even easier for customers. “We are getting things out of bins and up and hanging so people can see it,” she noted. One of the biggest changes is the store’s front window, which now houses a variety of sale merchandise. “We used to keep jeans in

Volunteers are always needed to help sort and price items and to run the cash register. Volunteers of all ages are welcome, and they do not have to be members of the church. The shop is also in need of donations. Donations of in-season items are accepted during the shop’s operating hours or by appointment. “Our volunteers are a welcoming presence,” said April EnnisPierson, director of volunteer services for Chester County Hospital /Penn Medicine. “They have the ability to calm folks down and be the smiling face … that helps makes the visit better.” Ennis-Pierson recently announced that Chester County Hospital’s volunteer services department is looking for volunteers to support its Penn Medicine Southern Chester County facility, located in West Grove. Volunteers are needed to staff the information desk, where they will be asked to greet patients and visitors and help to make sure appointments are managed in a timely manner.
