The free program offers hands-on learning experiences in classes divided by age group. Level One students are those who will enter second or third grade in the fall, and Level Two students are those who will enter fourth through sixth grades. Both groups have the basic curriculum, with the older students exploring topics in greater depth. This year, libraries have been given the option of offering one-hour classes for four days or two-hour classes on two days. Classes are taught by experienced, certified instructors such as Stephanie Smith, who is a teacher at Unionville High School. “I love it. I think it’s a nice change from my usual curriculum,” she See Science In The Summer pg 2
Stephanie Smith was the instructor of the Science in the Summer program offered on July 1 and 2 by the Parkesburg Library. The program is available at various local libraries this summer, and this year’s topic is “The Science of Me.”

After meeting in a private home, at a firehouse and mostly recently at King’s Highway Elementary School, Strong Faith Family Church now has a permanent home at 211 W. Stewart Huston Drive, Coatesville. The church is housed in an office space that is located in the Sikorsky Helicopter complex. In addition to the sanctuary, the site features elementary and preschool classrooms, a nursery, a room for nursing mothers and a coffee area where congregation members may enjoy fellowship before and after services.
