Chester County 4-H Youths Attend State Conference Nearly 700 Pennsylvania 4-H members, part of Penn State Extension’s 4-H youth development program, gathered to network and enhance their leadership skills during the 2020 Pennsylvania 4-H State Leadership Conference held from Jan. 31 to Feb. 2 at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center in State College. HIGH 5 Soccer, a free program for youths with special needs offered by the Glenmoore Eagle Youth Association (GEYA), will host “HIGH 5K for Connor,� featuring a 5K and fun run, on Sunday, April 19, at Fellowship

Youngsters Encouraged To Cheer Up Nursing Home Residents By Francine Fulton
A local health care worker is inviting youngsters who are currently not in school to brighten the lives of elderly residents who reside at Brandywine Hall, a nursing home in West Chester, by sending them messages through the mail.

Fishing Licenses Available For Opening Day Of Trout Season State Sen. Andy Dinniman, who serves on the Senate Game and Fisheries Committee, recently announced that fishing licenses and permits are now available for purchase at www.gone fishingpa.com. All fishing licenses and permits purchased are valid for up to 13 months. Customers have the option to choose vouchers that can be given as gifts and redeemed by recipients, if they are interested in gifting the licenses.
