The Lancaster Chorale will perform a concert on Sunday, Nov. 20, featuring Vivaldi’s “Gloria” and other sacred works. The concert will begin at 6 p.m. at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster.
Under the direction of Bruce Gerlach, the chorale will be accompanied by a chamber orchestra. Soloists will include soprano Abigail Martin, soprano Alison Mckeel, contralto Shirah Layton-Reichard, and tenor Brenten McGee.
The concert is free and open to the public. A freewill offering will be received.
A volunteer ensemble of more than 60 voices, the Lancaster Chorale welcomes all singers who desire to perform masterworks and high-quality sacred music. A good to excellent singing voice, a love of singing, and a commitment to the ensemble and its schedule are the requirements. The ability to read music is not required but is desirable. What kind of chair support do you need?”
Classes will include exercise for the senior hunter, safe exercises for those with osteoporosis, and stretching and mobiliza on. Free physical therapy screenings are available but must be scheduled ahead by calling 717-569-4184.
Drevna-Hudson puts an emphasis on personaliza on and developing a rela onship with their 12-member therapy team. “All of our clinicians have exper se in diff erent special es,” said Drevna, who pointed out that pa ents consistently work with the same therapist and therapy team to build rela onship and rapport and create a comfortable environment for pa ents.
Among the pa ent services Drevna-Hudson off ers are balance, coordina on, strength training, and fl exibility training. “We provide endurance training, condi oning, general fl exibility, and manual therapy,” said Hudson. Orthopedic physical therapy, post-opera ve rehabilita on, foot and ankle ortho cs, and neurologic physical therapy are just the beginning of the many services off ered by Drevna-Hudson. Police, Fire Rescue To Square Off In Turkey Bowl
On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 24, Manheim Township Police Department (MTPD) and Manheim Township Fire Rescue (MTFR) will participate in their inaugural Turkey Bowl at the Manheim Township Athletic Complex, 2883 Weaver Road, Lancaster.
The event will be a flag football matchup between MTFR and MTPD personnel, and kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. The public is invited to attend, and admission is free.
The two departments will be playing for more than bragging rights, as they will be accepting nonperishable food items, as well as toys for Toys for Tots. Those who can’t attend the game may donate before the event at any MTFR fire station or at MTPD headquarters.

LBC Posts Open House
Lancaster Bible College (LBC) | Capital Seminary & Graduate School, 901 Eden Road, Lancaster, will host its second fall open house for prospective on-campus undergraduate students and their families on Friday, Nov. 18.
