Manheim Township Cub Scout Pack 184 will hold a Rocket Into Scouting kickoff event on Monday, Sept. 16, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Church, 301 St. Thomas Road, Lancaster. This will be a chance for elementary-age boys and girls to learn about Scouting, meet den members, participate in activities (most of which involve rockets) and sign up to become Scouts. Every new Cub Scout who turns in a membership application before Saturday, Sept. 28, will receive their own rocket as part of the Rocket Into Scouting program. The new Scouts will be invited to launch their rockets at a Scout Celebration Day on Sept. 28. LBC To Stage “Tradition!” In Honor Of Past Musicals By Ann Mead Ash

When Dave Felty, head of the musical theater program at Lancaster Bible College (LBC), realized that this fall would mark the 10th year since the music, worship, and performing arts

division of the college began to produce musicals, he knew he had to plan a fall show that would honor the accomplishment. “This felt like a great time to celebrate a little bit of every show we have done,” shared Felty. “We won’t hit every show, but we will hit most of them.”

Car enthusiasts and their families are welcome to visit the 18th annual Lancaster Sunrise Rotary Club Neffsville Car Show on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Manheim Township Community Park, Petersburg Road (Route 722). The event will take place rain or shine. Club event co-chairs Sandra Orndorff and Dave Neslund hope to see at least 500 show cars of many vintages, makes, and descriptions at the event. Participating owners may enter their cars to compete for a variety of trophies including Best of Show, Runner-Up Best of

Lancaster Bible College (LBC) students will celebrate 10 years of musical productions when the school stages “Tradition!” in a dinner theater format on Sept. 27 and 28. The show will feature music from past LBC shows, including “Mary Poppins” (left), “Fiddler on the Roof ” (center), and “Hello, Dolly!” (right).

invites local children in grades one through five to join the choir for its seventh season. Rehearsals will be held on Mondays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. beginning Sept. 23 at Grandview United Methodist Church, 888 Pleasure Road, Lancaster. The choir is directed by Cindy McGary, assisted by pianist Cindy Kahler. It presents two public concerts each year and sings occasionally in worship services at Grandview.
