The Berks Strollers will hike the trails at the Tel Hai Retirement Community, 1200 Tel Hai Circle, Honey Brook, on Saturday, July 14. The group will meet at 9 a.m. at the Clock Tower Plaza on Route 23 in Morgantown to carpool to the site. Attendees may choose to meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Tel Hai parking lot instead. The Berks County Parks and Recreation Department will present a Covered Bridges Story Time on Wednesday, July 11, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Berks County Heritage Center, 1102 Red Bridge Road, Reading. Attendees will explore why covered bridges were built and learn about some of the animals that call covered bridges their home. Mobile Market Offers Fresh Produce Golf Outing To Benefit Food Pantry By Francine Fulton
Residents of Chester County are able to enjoy garden-fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables through the Fresh2You Mobile Market, operated by the Chester County Food Bank (CCFB). The Mobile Market offers a wide selection of produce, including kale, strawberries, tomatoes, cauliflower, collards, radishes, turnips and cucumbers, as well as locally sourced eggs and honey. “Our produce is grown by our farmers or we get (items) from Leola, Lancaster County, so all of our produce is local,” noted Sol Noguera, CCFB bilingual outreach educator. “We go all over Chester County from Oxford and Kennett (Square) to Phoenixville and West Chester. Our goal is to have a farmers market that accepts all forms of payment and to get the community together (to purchase healthy fruits See Mobile Market pg 7

Honey Brook Borough will present a performance by Across the Pond, a trio of musicians who will perform Irish and Scottish tunes, on Sunday, July 8,
beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the borough park. There is no fee to attend, but concertgoers are asked to bring nonperishable food items for the Honey Brook Food Pantry. The performance is the second in the Honey Brook Concerts in See Concert pg 6
In their first year of competition, members of the Twin Valley High School (TVHS) indoor guard had a successful season, winning first place in several competitions over the past six months. The highlight of the season was on May 26, when the team won the 2018 Twirling Unlimited (TU) Regional Championship title in the Senior Color Guard division. The event was held at the York County School of Technology in York. The new team is composed of Amber Boyer, Emma Brennan, Hailee Gould and Kendra Newman. The 2018 Honey Brook Food Pantry Charity Golf Outing will take place on Monday, July 9, at 8:30 a.m. at the Honeybrook Golf Club, 1422 Cambridge Road, Honey Brook. The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast; the range and practice green will also be open at that time. There will be a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Following play, golfers will enjoy lunch and there will be an awards ceremony. Attendees will also have an opportunity to win prizes.
