JBT Bank receives awards

The Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers (PACB) recognized Jonestown Bank & Trust Co. (JBT) with two awards at the organization’s 2023 Inspire Awards ceremony.

JBT won the Excellence in Lending, Economic Development Award for its participation and leadership in the Community Homes Canal Street project in Lebanon. In addition to providing lending for the project, JBT donated $100,000 toward the Canal Affordable Housing Development effort earlier this year.

United Way of Chester County recently announced the appointment of Kari Sullivan as the new director of resource development.

Sullivan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role, including fundraising, workplace campaign management, mobilizing volunteers, disaster relief and immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts.

Her responsibilities will include leading the organization’s fundraising initiatives, which will involve working closely with donors, corporate partners and community leaders to build sustainable funding streams. With her experience in community engagement, she will play a pivotal role in driving the organization’s efforts to secure resources and support.

Sullivan started her United Way career in 1996 and worked in various roles to learn all aspects of the United Way system throughout the Philadelphia and Delaware regions.
