“We’re going to have a nice mix of direct-sales companies and vendors who sell homemade items,” said Leslie Hawkins, describing the Holiday Home Market. “There’s going to be a lot of unique gift items and lots of opportunities for holiday shopping.”

The event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Manheim Farm Show exhibition hall, 502 Adele Ave., Manheim. It will feature a variety of vendors and food options. “It’s a great way to kick off your holiday shopping and support local families and businesses in the community,” said Chelsey Harnly, who is organizing the event with Stephanie Rogers. “We try really hard to make sure the vendors are diverse, so you won’t be seeing six vendors with the same things at our event.” This is the sixth year for the market, which Harnly and Rogers started to showcase local businesses like their own. “Stephanie and I both had businesses, and we were not having much luck getting into the vendor shows that were already

each year’s event has benefited a local nonprofit or cause. This year, North Star Initiative will have a stand set up for donations, and a portion of the proceeds from the food stand and coffee bar will benefit the organization. North Star provides support and services for survivors of sex trafficking. “Sexual abuse recovery is something that is very close to my heart personally, and I love the mission of North Star and how they provide a safe place for these women and also provide education, counseling and other resources these women need to get back on their feet,” Harnly said. Vendors are highlighted on the market’s Facebook page at 2022 Holiday Market on Adele and on Instagram @holidaymarketonadele. Because of construction at Manheim Central High School, parking is limited, but some will be available around the exhibition hall and across the street at the community pool. The exhibition hall is handicapped-accessible.

Handmade ornaments will be among the items featured at the Holiday Home Market.
