Graff Named To All-State Band
MHALC Offers Mental Health Support
David Graff, a junior at Manheim Central High School (MCHS), has earned the top percussion spot in the 2020 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) All-State Concert Band. During a rigorous audition process, David presented pieces on the marimba, tympani and snare drum. This latest honor follows David’s acceptance to District and Regional Concert Band and Symphony Orchestra as well as District Jazz Band. David is a member of the MCHS Marching Barons, concert and jazz bands, Momentum Percussion Ensemble and orchestra. David has now auditioned for the National Association for Music Education’s All National Honor Ensemble. His instructors and supporters include the MCHS music department, fellow band members, friends and family.

Manheim Central High School (MCHS) held its graduation ceremonies for the more than 250 members of the Class of 2020 on June 4 and 5 at Elden Rettew Field. Student speeches were taped at the school on June 1 to be streamed to family members during each ceremony. Each ceremony opened with a welcome by Preston Fahnestock and Kassidy Michael, class co-presidents. Principal Josh Weitzel recognized the valedictorian and salutatorian and presented awards and gifts. Class valedictorian Kaylin Jury, the daughter of Lon and Dorothy Jury of Lititz, was the recipient of the Baron Von Stiegel Award and the MCFEE Student Trustee Appreciation Award, among others.
