The Exploring Growing Together Discussion Forum will hold sessions on Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lititz United Methodist Church, 201 E. Market St. Participants will gather in Room 103 on the church’s lower level.

Van Til, the group will discuss “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” by Maya Angelou and “Maya Angelou: A Biography of an Award-Winning Poet and Civil Rights Activist” by Donna Brown Agins.

On June 8, 15, and 22, Van Til will lead a DVD viewing and discussion of “Iron Jawed Angels,” the true story of suffragist Alice Paul and other activists who reinvigorated the women’s suffrage movement before the passing of the 19th Amendment in 1920.

On June 29 to July 27, the group will spotlight “The Walk,” a series by Richard Paul Evans, led by Shanna Boley.

Attendees may bring a lunch to eat during the discussion. Masks are optional for attendees.

The forum discussion series aims to offer a safe learning environment in which to discuss and explore diverse topics and beliefs with respect to everyone sharing.
