MULTICULTURAL MINISTRY DAY
Bright Side Baptist Church, 515 Hershey Ave., Lancaster, will host Multicultural Ministry Day at the 10 a.m. worship service on Sunday, Nov. 10. Multicultural Ministry Day will celebrate all cultures and ethnicities. Immediately after the service, foods from various countries will be available for purchase. Participants are asked to wear attire that represents their country of origin.

BRUNCH WITH BACH
Lancaster Bible College (LBC), 901 Eden Road, Lancaster, will present Brunch With Bach on Sunday, Nov. 10. Brunch will be offered at 1 p.m., followed by a performance of Bach’s “Magnificat,” among other classical works featuring the LBC chorale, professional soloists, and a live orchestra. Parties Scheduled All aboard for the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania’s Christmas With the Conductor parties on Saturdays, Dec. 7 and 14. Registration forms are available at www.rrmuseumpa.org or at the museum, 300 Gap Road, Strasburg, during regular business hours. During the events, the conductor will usher in guests for 45 minutes to an hour of holiday festivities. Each child will receive a souvenir train ticket that the conductor will punch as the child boards one of the museum’s historic railroad cars for a reading of a classic holiday story. We’re not in it for people to recognize us or return the favor. “We want to always provide that small glimmer of hope,” said Kim McDevitt, executive director of Mental Health America Lancaster County (MHALC). McDevitt noted that one of the organization’s main goals is to help prevent isolation among those in the county struggling with mental health issues and, by doing so, to prevent suicide. “(Gifts of Joy) is one of the things we do at Christmastime for those who have severe mental health issues,” McDevitt explained. Working with nearly 50 case managers with the Lancaster County Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, MHALC provided 800 gifts for 463 children and adults during the 2018 holiday season. “One of the things that is important is that people have that hope during the holidays from See Gifts Of Joy pg 12
