jacket. “It’s an experience unlike any other,” added Firestone. “Watching a new set of students put on their jackets every year gives you butterflies; it’s the start of a memorable journey for so
many kids.” During the convention, multiple Garden Spot FFA members also received the FFA Keystone Degree, which is the highest obtainable degree at the state

Mulberry Art Studios, 21 N. Mulberry St., Lancaster, is now accepting submissions for its sixth annual “We Love Our Pets” show. Artists and pet owners in Lancaster County are encouraged to enter original artwork of their animal companions until Friday, April 12. Accepted submissions will be displayed at Mulberry Art Studios in May for National Pet Month. Amateur and professional artists of all ages are invited
to participate in the show, and submissions may be artwork in any medium, such as painting, drawing, sculpture or photography. Artists may submit as many pieces as they desire. On Dec. 8, members of the local community shared their professional insight with eighth-graders at Martin Meylin Middle School.
In December, eighth-graders at Martin Meylin Middle School had an opportunity to learn about various occupations during the school’s annual career day. Throughout the day, professionals and members of the local community visited different classrooms to offer insight on their fields and to share their experiences with students as they discern what path to take after they graduate from high school.
