The Teacher Impact Awards were established by the Rotary club in 2005 to recognize and celebrate seven teachers in public and private schools within Rotary District 7390’s area, which encompasses Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York counties. The chosen teachers are drawn from kindergarten through 12th-grade faculty.
Any student, caregiver, colleague, or school administrator who knows a teacher whose impact is felt beyond the classroom can complete the nomination form at www.witf.org/teacherimpact awards. All nomination forms must be received by midnight on Monday, Feb. 28.
Nomination forms can be downloaded, completed, and emailed to teacherimpact awards@witf.org. Forms may also be submitted by mail; more information is available at the aforementioned website.
A committee of Rotary members and WITF staff members will review the nominations and choose one winning teacher from each county. The top teachers will be honored at an awards ceremony on Tuesday, May 24. WITF will also produce a special television program that features each of the winners. This program will premiere on WITF TV on Thursday, June 23.
