Church Completes Expansion ommunity Fellowship Church (CFC), 200 Bethel Drive, Lancaster, celebrated the completion of a 16-month expansion and renovation project with a ribbon-cutting and dessert reception on March 10. Over 200 people attended the ceremony honoring key CFC staff members, volunteers, and contractors who contributed to the project. Attendees were invited to take self-led tours of new children’s classrooms, an added student auditorium, new offices, and additional meeting space before enjoying a dessert reception in the newly expanded first-floor cafe. Longtime CLC member Jack Risser had the honor of cutting the ribbon due to his involvement as a volunteer

in the project. Risser is a Lancaster resident and retired architect. Fry Associates Architecture of Lancaster, designer of the original building in 2004, also designed the expansion and renovation. Construction was completed by Weaver Construction & Roofing of East Earl. Community Fellowship Church is a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. It exists to make committed followers of Christ. Relevant Bible teaching, modern worship, and authentic community are all intended to fuel a healthy environment of serving others. Herr Homestead Reopens For Tours The Herr Family Homestead, 1756 Nissley Road, Landisville, next to Amos Herr Park, has reopened for guided tours. Tours of the house, grounds and barn will be available on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month through the end of October. House tours will be approximately one hour and will begin at 1 p.m., with the last tour at 3:15 p.m. The 12-room brick farm house is furnished with pieces that reflect the period 1842 to 1910. This is the first year the interior design of the Sweitzer-style post and beam barn, circa 1820, which illustrates the history of agriculture
“Newsies” To Play At LBC Servant Stage, a nonprofit theater serving Lancaster County, will produce “Newsies.” The Tony-award winning Disney musical, based on the 1992 motion picture, was inspired by a true story. The show features a score by Alan Menken, dancing, and a focus on the message to fight for what is right. Producers have gathered a cast of more than 40 local performers, working with a 10-piece orchestra, in an energetic and family-friendly show that audience members of all ages may enjoy.
