Holiday Tree Lighting Set In Campbelltown On Nov. 4, a 10-foot Norway spruce was planted in the Campbelltown Community Park, located between Lawn Road and the fire company. The tree is the start of a new tradition in Campbelltown, a Holiday Tree Lighting event hosted by Campbelltown Community Alliance (CCA). Contributions from Palmyra Area Business Association, local businesses, and individuals from the community have made this event possible. The Village of Campbelltown’s inaugural Holiday Tree Lighting event will take place on Sunday, Dec. 1,
from 5 to 7 p.m. It will start at the park with the lighting of the tree and Christmas carols. Festivities will follow at the fire company. Free family activities and offerings will include hot cocoa, cookies, crafts, games, and a visit from Santa. Community members are invited to help decorate the tree by putting their name on an ornament for a fee. All proceeds will go to the Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company. For more information, readers may email campbelltowncommunity alliance@gmail.com.
South Londonderry Township Highway Department employees and Campbelltown Community Alliance members helped to plant a tree in Campbelltown Community Park in anticipation of the inaugural Holiday Tree Lighting event on Dec. 1.
