A book signing event will be held at the Pennsylvania State Police Museum, 187 E. Hersheypark Drive, Hershey, on Saturday, Dec. 7, between noon and 3 p.m. with children’s book author Robin Leigh Stoner. Her first book, “A Horse in Blue, Eli, Call to Duty,” details the journey her horse takes to become a four-legged member of the Pennsylvania State Police. The author will read her story periodically throughout the event and will offer signed copies of her book for sale. People of all ages are welcome. Posts Musical Club To Present “Schoolhouse Rock” Library Upcoming Events The Musical Club at Hershey Middle School will present its first-ever production, “Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr.” on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 21 and 22, at 7 p.m. at the Hershey Middle School, 500 Homestead Road, Hershey.

“Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr.” is an energetic show featuring memorable songs such as “Conjunction Junction” and “I’m Just a Bill.” The production includes more than 50 students in sixth through eighth grades on stage and working behind the scenes.

The Musical Club has been privately funded through support from The Trojan Foundation, Hershey Rotary Club, Bryn Mawr Trust, and The Jessica Drew Sunshine Memorial Fund. Museum Exhibit To Feature LIGHT Bus

HERSHEY - HUMMELSTOWN - PALMYRA

A vehicle known as the LIGHT Bus will be the centerpiece vehicle for the “Age of Aquarius: Cars of the Counterculture and Beyond” exhibit at the AACA Museum, 161 Museum Drive, Hershey.

The 1962 Volkswagen bus is the canvas for a “magic bus” created by artist Dr. Robert Hieronimus. He designed and painted the original bus in 1968 and completed the recreated bus in 2019 for the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, which was celebrated in August. The bus will be on view at the AACA Museum from Saturday, Nov. 23, through Sunday, April 26, 2020.

In 1968, Bob Grimm, leader of the musical group Light, commissioned Hieronimus to paint his 1963 11-window

Volkswagen bus. This decorated bus became known as the LIGHT Bus after the Baltimore-area band that used the van as transportation to its gigs. The band also drove it to Woodstock in the summer of 1969, where it became famous after attracting photographers from a variety of publications.

The original LIGHT Bus went missing in the 1970s. Hieronimus recreated a LIGHT Bus that looks identical to the original.

Bus was completed in time for the 50th anniversary of Woodstock and was on display at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts from Aug. 16 to 18.

Fundraising Campaign To Aid MDA Lawrence Chevrolet launched its first Drive 2A Cure campaign in November. Chorale Appoints Administrator The Susquehanna Chorale has named Molly Masser to its staff as the administrator. In this position, Masser will provide support for the chorale’s artistic and operational activities, its concerts and special performances, and the Educational Outreach Program choirs for children and youths.

Masser has extensive experience as a high school music teacher and a theater, choral, and band director. She recently retired from the Northern Lebanon School District.

Throughout her career, Masser supervised all aspects of more than 30 drama and musical productions. She also conducted choral and band ensembles.

In addition, Masser is a multiinstrumentalist, with emphasis on piano and French horn.

Masser earned undergraduate and master’s degrees in music education from Lebanon Valley College.

Founded in 1981 by artistic director and conductor Linda L. Tedford, the Susquehanna Chorale is a nationally acclaimed adult choral ensemble of 38 auditioned singers.

Boy Scout Troop 97 held elections for senior patrol leader (SPL), assistant senior patrol leader (ASPL), and troop guide on Sept. 17. Each candidate gave a speech detailing why he was seeking a vote for the desired office, and he then fielded questions from his peers. Ballots were cast, and Life Scout Jason O’Donnell collected and tallied the results.

Star Scout Brayden Harris was selected as the SPL, the highest youth leadership position in the troop. He will work closely with the Scoutmaster to plan and lead troop meetings and activities.

Brayden will appoint junior leaders, determine what Scout skills to practice, and be an integral part of the 2020 troop calendar. He said he would like to improve the troop’s electronic communication.

Jesse Reigle, a First Class Scout, was voted to the position of ASPL. This is the second highest youth leadership position in the troop, essentially the SPL’s right hand. Jesse will help in the training of the other youth leaders and will assume the SPL position in Brayden’s absence.

Lower Dauphin High School senior Natasha Ebersole was recently named the Hummelstown Women’s Club’s Young Woman of the Month for September. Lower Dauphin High School senior Nidhi Singh is the Hummelstown Rotary Club’s Student of the Month for September.

Natasha is the daughter of Tina and Doyle Ebersole. She is a four-year member of the 533-4458 concert band, jazz band and marching band, HERSHEY FREE ESTIMATES where she is also a two-year trumpet section leader. She is also a four-year member of the chorus and a three-year member of the orchestra. She is a four-year member and leader in the BIG group and a two-year member and leader in the Science National Honor Society.
