First United Methodist Church, 64 W. Chocolate Ave., Hershey, will host the Popcorn Hat Players from Gamut Theatre Group in Harrisburg on Saturday, Aug. 18, at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary. A free breakfast will be served in the social hall at 9 a.m. The group will present an assortment of Aesop’s Fables, including “The Cat Maiden,� “The Two Frogs,� and “The Ant and the Grasshopper.� Children will enjoy Aesop’s characters while also learning the moral of each presented fable. Local Church Will Host Performance By Re-Creation Re-Creation will perform in concert at Palmyra Church of the Brethren, 45 N. Chestnut St., Palmyra, on Sunday, Aug. 26, at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public. Re-Creation is a group of young people who present both religious and family-oriented music. The group typically consists of eight singers and one or two technicians.

Founded in 1976 to provide entertainment programming for Veterans Affairs Medical Centers in the United States, Re-Creation has also appeared in churches of all denominations; at fairs and festivals; at local, regional, state, and national corporation banquets and conventions; and at major resort areas. The Hummelstown Community Singers will begin rehearsals for the fall season with registration on Mondays, Aug. 20, Aug. 27, and Sept. 10, in the sanctuary of Hummelstown United Church of Christ, 104 E. Main St., Hummelstown. The church is located at the corner of Main and Water streets. Registration will begin at 7:15 p.m. and is open to people age 16 and older. No audition is required. Singing Group To Begin Rehearsals

will hold a low-cost vaccine clinic for cats and dogs on Sunday, Aug. 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at PAWS, 9803 Jonestown Road, Grantville. Distemper and rabies vaccinations for cats and dogs will be administered. For a three-year rabies vaccination, proof of previous rabies vaccination is required. Microchips will also be available for a set price, which includes registration. The clinic will be first-come, firstserved. Breeders will not be serviced. Cash and checks will be accepted as payment.
