A portion of each virtual race registration will go directly to benefit the Friends. The event will be managed by U.S. Road Running Virtual Races. The Friends’ annual book sale, an important source of library program funding, was canceled due to health safety concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Funds received from the race will help sustain programs that would have benefited from the book sale. Participants may race from 1 mile up to 100 miles at a time and location that suits them. All registrants will receive a finisher medal and a real race bib. For more details, including how to register, readers may visit www.hershey library.org or contact Aly Tran at atran@derrytownship.org.
