The Kiwanis Club of Middletown recently completed and donated 40 blankets for the Children’s Resource Center in Harrisburg. The club made the donation as part of its service project for April, which was Child Abuse Prevention Month. The project began in November with the members of the Stitches of Love group from Middletown First Church of God who supplied and cut fleece for the Kiwanis Club to tie into no-sew blankets. Club members picked up the materials in February. Lynn Carson, manager of the Children’s Resource Center housed in a section of the Polyclinic Hospital grounds in Harrisburg, received the blankets.
