First United Methodist Church, 64 W. Chocolate Ave., Hershey, will offer a free summer music day camp from Monday, July 30, to Friday, Aug. 3, from 9 a.m. to noon each day, with the opportunity to participate in the worship service on Sunday, Aug. 5. The camp is for children who have completed grades two through six. Participants will experience various music media each day, including bells, drums, bar instruments, boomwhackers, ukuleles, and more. The deadline to register is Wednesday, July 25. 248 E. Derry Road, Hershey, will present an informal worship featuring jazzy arrangements of favorite hymns at 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, in the sanctuary. Soloists and instrumentalists will also participate, and the Rev. Stephen McKinney-Whitaker will offer a meditation. Casual dress is encouraged. Following the hour-long service, food trucks will be on-site for anyone who would like to purchase dinner. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating on the front lawn or choose indoor seating in the fellowship hall. A variety of lawn games will be available. The Serbian-American Club of Steelton will hold its annual picnic on Sunday, July 29, from noon to 8 p.m. at Serb Park, 1131 Eisenhower Blvd., Harrisburg. Library’s Friends Group Plans Book Sale
The Friends of the Hershey Public Library’s 37th annual book sale will include a preview night on Friday, Aug. 3. The annual book sale will also include a Family Fun Day on Sunday, Aug. 5, with a bounce house and free ice cream. The Friends of the Hershey Public Library’s 37th annual book sale will take place on Saturday, Aug. 4, to Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Hershey Public Library, 701 Cocoa Ave. The sale will be open during normal library hours, which will be 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 4; 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 5; 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday, Aug. 6, through Wednesday, Aug. 8; and 9:30 a.m. to noon on Aug. 9. A Family Fun Day will be held on Aug. 5, which will include special activities for children such as a
bounce house, as well as free ice cream. The library will be on closed on Friday, Aug. 3, so volunteers can prepare for the sale. There will also be a section of valuable books with special pricing. The book sale will also include DVDs, CDs, audio books, music, maps, and magazines. The Friends group raises funds pri-
marily through membership and the annual book sale, with proceeds used to support the following programs and activities at the library: adult programs and adult reading groups, distinguished author visits, children’s series programs, Summer Reading Programs for children and teenagers, and special library collections. Rotary District Holds RYLA Conference

Cocco was named the top conferee overall. A total of 144 high school seniors attended the 58th annual Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Conference held from June 10 to 14 at Messiah College in Grantham. Rotary District 7390 holds this annual conference for seniors who are selected and interviewed by the 43 Rotary Clubs in the district. Rotary District 7390 encompasses the counties of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin,
Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York. The five-day conference featured speakers, team-building activities, and fun. At the end of the conference, the students voted on the top eight conferees. Seven of the students received the Lloyd Bollinger Award, a $350 cash award.
