Ben And Tim Day Planned he 31st annual Ben and Tim Day will take place on Saturday, Aug. 27, in Hershey. The event will include a 5K at 9 a.m. and a fun run at 10 a.m., both beginning at Hershey High School, 550 Homestead Road, Hershey. There is also a virtual option for the 5K race. Separate costs, which include a T-shirt, have been set for the 5K and for the fun run, with a discount before Wednesday, June 1. Prizes will be awarded in the 5K for the overall winners and the top three finishers in each age category. Participants age 12 and under in the fun run will receive goodie bags. Other activities during Ben and Tim Day will include soccer clinics by Soccer Shots for children ages 2 to 8, a chicken barbecue and a silent auction. Door prizes will be awarded. To sign up, visit www.benandtimday.org. Ben and Tim Day honors the memory of Ben Yupcavage and Tim Russell, Hershey High School athletes who were killed in an automobile accident in 1992. Their families established a memorial scholarship fund, which has awarded more than $180,000 in educational scholarships as well as donations to local charities that benefit students.

On Sunday, July 17, a bike ride can help bring orphaned children home. Brittany’s Hope will host its first Biking for Brittany event, a metric century and metric half-century bike ride, beginning at the Star Barn Village, 1 Hollinger Lane, Elizabethtown.
