Brass Quintet Will Perform The Lancaster Brass Quintet will perform on Sunday, May 19, at 3 p.m. at Palmyra Church of the Brethren, 45 N. Chestnut St., Palmyra. The group has been active in central Pennsylvania since 1982. Performing music by such renowned ensembles as the Empire Brass and the Canadian Brass,
the Lancaster Brass Quintet performs at concerts, church services, weddings and other types of events. The professional musicians present a variety of music, including jazz, show tunes, sacred music, marches and original works for brass. Admission is free, though a freewill offering will be received.

Run With Heart 5K/10K Slated The American Heart Association invites runners and walkers from across the Susquehanna Valley to the inaugural Run With Heart 5K/10K on Sunday, May 19, at Milton Hershey School. Registration and festivities will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Henry Hershey Field, 635 Brook Drive, Hershey. The race will kick off at 9 a.m. Participants can run or walk the first 5K loop, then continue for a second loop to complete a full 10K. The course is mostly flat and stroller-friendly. All preregistered participants will receive an
event T-shirt. Top runners in each category will receive awards. There is a registration fee per participant. Funds raised will support the Capital Region Heart Walk, set for Sunday, Sept. 15, at City Island in Harrisburg.
