SERVING THE LOCAL COMMUNITIES SINCE 1954

Hershey Lions Club Provides Meals Six members of the Hershey Lions Club recently provided service to guests of the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey. Brent Schultz, Kaitlyn Schultz, John Mallonee, Kelly Mallonee, Steve Gallerizzo, and Bob Watkins served dinner to approximately 30 guests and presented stuffed animal lions to children staying at the Ronald McDonald House. The Hershey Lions Club has provided this service for the last three to four years. According to the Ronald McDonald House, the organization “provides temporary housing to out-of-town families of seriously ill children who are being treated at the Penn State Children’s Hospital.” The Ronald McDonald House relies on the generosity of volunteers and donors so families can stay at the house free of charge. The Hershey Lions Club was organized and chartered in 1944 and has been continuously serving the residents of Derry Township since then. Projects include eye exams and glasses for residents in need, scholarships for local students, sponsorship of youth sports teams, and medical equipment assistance.
