Seven Sorrows Catholic Church in Middletown will hold its 23rd annual Lenten fish fry on Fridays, Feb. 28 through April 3. The fish fry will run from 5 to 8 p.m. each week at Seven Sorrows School, 360 E. Water St., Middletown. Doors will open at 3:15 p.m., and service will begin at 5 p.m. The menu will feature all-you-caneat batter-dipped fish for eat-in orders only, along with lemon-pepper fish, crab cakes, jumbo fried shrimp, macaroni and cheese, pierogies, lobster macaroni and cheese, crabby cheese fries, and a variety of desserts, including chocolate cake with peanut butter icing, lemon-berry mascarpone cake and coconut cream pie. The Central Pennsylvania World War II Roundtable will meet on Thursday, March 5, at 7 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 433 E. Main St., Hummelstown. During World War II, the Marines used a unique code to transmit messages in their battles in the Pacific Theater. The code was based on the Navajo language, an unwritten language spoken by few people who were not of Navajo origin. Historian and filmmaker Dr. George A. Colburn will tell the story of the men who made it possible for U.S. troops to utilize this unique language in his documentary “Navajo Code Talkers: A Journey of Remembrance.” Colburn will discuss the making of the documentary and show the film in its entirety.
