Reid Hosts Military Family Reunion
The Stark family includes (from left) Air Force Staff Sgt. Trevor Stark, Payson, Witten, and Jaclyn. The Stark family was reunited at Reid Elementary School during a program about community helpers. Reid Elementary School hosted a military father’s surprise reunion with his daughter, a kindergartner in Stephanie Molnar’s class, on Dec. 19. Air Force Staff Sgt. Trevor Stark had served in Korea for the past year and had not seen his family during his deployment. With the help of Reid staff and Stark’s wife, Jaclyn, Stark surprised his daughter, Payson, by being part of a mock lesson on community helpers. Molnar created a guessing game about community
helpers and introduced three service members who volunteered to be in on the surprise, including Lower Swatara Police Officer Jon Miller, Lower Swatara firefighter Josh Burrows, and Dr. Jayson Loeffert, who works for Hershey Medical Center and Middletown Area School District. The final community helper to enter the classroom was Stark. Payson recognized her father and left her seat to reunite with him. See Reunion pg 9
