A Terre Hill Holiday Christmas In The Park Planned BY ANN MEAD ASH

erre Hill’s Christmas in the Park meets the mission requirements of the Terre Hill Days committee that organizes the event. First, the event raises funds to help maintain and improve the park, located at 210 Lancaster Ave., Terre Hill. Second, according to organizer John Styer, it provides a holiday treat for area residents.

“Terre Hill Days committee’s goal is to provide events for the community that are fun, affordable, and community minded,” said Styer. This year’s Christmas in the Park will be held on Friday, Dec. 3; Saturday, Dec. 4; and Sunday, Dec. 5, from 5 to 9 p.m. each day. Styer noted that the display will feature about 15 new lighted scenes, with the focus being a safari and jungle area.

Admission to the event is free, but the lighted trail, which offers a live Nativity from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each evening, will be by suggested donation. A golf cart will be available to help those with mobility issues enjoy the lighted scenes. Other outdoor activities designed to delight people of all ages will include live ice carving on Dec. 3 and 4, mini golf, and fire pits. “In Christmas Village, we will

have artisan s’mores,” said Styer, who added that the sweet treats will be created for purchase from milk and dark chocolate with a sprinkle of sea salt on a handmade graham cracker. Specialty hot chocolate, along with waffles on a stick in multiple holiday flavors, will also be available to purchase. Outdoor entertainment will feature a different musical group each night on the Christmas Tree Plaza

stage. On Dec. 3, the Mount Zion worship team will play. On Dec. 4, Bailey Fulginiti Trio will perform, and on Dec. 5, Jeff Krick Jr. will present an Elvis-themed Christmas show. Bands that will be featured in Christmas Village include Holiday Horns and the Cherrywood String Ensemble. Live ice-carving demonstrations will be given beside the main food pavilion on Dec. 3 and 4.
