St. Stephen Reformed Church, 249 E. Main St., New Holland, will hold Children’s Breakfast on Main on Saturday, Dec. 1, along with the annual Christmas on Main event. A breakfast of pancakes, sausages, and juice will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. The children will find a live Nativity scene portrayed by church youths. Children are encouraged to bring baby Jesus a gift (an item for the food bank) to place beside the manager. Outside, they will find farm animals to feed. Santa’s Workshop will be hosted at Garden Spot Fire and Rescue, 339 E. Main St., New Holland, on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature holiday shopping for the entire family, including vendors, crafters, and gift wrapping by donation, as well as Santa and more. Wilbur Horning, a committee member with the New Holland Business Association’s (NHBA) 2018 Christmas on Main celebration, wants ELANCO residents to understand that the event is a gift to the community. “It is not intended as a money maker,” noted Horning. “It’s a free, family event,” added Ed Dougherty, president of the NHBA, who invited everyone to attend the celebration on Saturday, Dec. 1. Residents who would like to get into the giving spirit may do so at Orrstown Bank, where donations for CrossNet Ministries will be accepted beginning at 9 a.m. Likewise, Northwest Bank will accept items for Toys for Tots and host a creative no-bake Christmas treat demonstration by the Garden Spot Village (GSV) food service department.

The Terre Hill Days Committee will host its Santa’s Workshop on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 30 and Dec.1, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Terre Hill Community Center, 131 W. Main St., Terre Hill. The event will feature children’s craft stations, story times, live performances, cookies, door prizes, a visit from Santa, and more. Admission is free.
