n my opinion, the fair is the number one event that is hosted in New Holland,” said Paulene Redding, the president of the New Holland Farmers Fair’s board of directors, “and our continued community involvement is what makes our event so special. Everybody wants to be a part of the fair in one way or another. “ To the community, the New Holland Fair means tradition, a time to gather in the streets with family, friends and community, to reminisce about the old and look for and discuss what is new,” continued Redding. “It’s an event that celebrates New
Holland and its surrounding communities. This will be our 94th year, and it remains an event that people look forward to all year long.” Preparations for the 2026 edition of the New Holland Farmers Fair are well underway. They’re all leading up to Wednesday, Sept. 30, through Saturday, Oct. 3, when the midway will open at 11 a.m. each day, and the rides will start at 4 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday and at noon on Friday and Saturday. In town, the fair will be staged along Main Street between Railroad Avenue and Custer Avenue, on Roberts Avenue between Franklin and Broad streets and on Franklin Street between Railroad and See Fair pg 4

There’s a great new nonprofit in Lancaster County that’s been founded by Neffsville resident Greta Myers. It’s called “Neuro Neighborhood.” “ We used ‘neighborhood ’ to give people a welcoming invitation to something bigger than themselves,” said Myers, who also serves as executive director of the organization. “Neighborhoods contain people who come together to support one another. We all know how important it is to have a support system, and we felt that use of the title ‘neighborhood’ would exemplify our support. “Our goal is to continue to get the word out so we can reach as many people as possible,” continued Myers. “The more people who know about the Neuro Neighborhood, the more people we can support.” Founded in March of 2025, Neuro Neighborhood is an al l - vol u nte er or ganiz at ion designed to help people dealing with neurological conditions like Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis. Those neurological conditions can occur through injury or a deterioration of the central nervous system, which includes our brains and spinal cords. For now, Myers is operating Neuro Neighborhood out of her residence. “Spinal cord injuries or brain injuries can be caused by traumatic events to either area of our central nervous system, or lack of blood flow to that area,” said Myers. “Symptoms widely vary between neurological conditions including movement, See Neuro pg 2
