A hot, nutritious meal will be served in the fellowship hall from 5:30 to 6 p.m. The meal is open to everyone interested in friendly fellowship with others. Registration is not required. The Eastern Lancaster County Library, 11 Chestnut Drive, New Holland, will present Astronaut Training Camp on Monday, July 15, at 6:30 p.m. The family event for all ages will include a short story time, followed by activities. Participants will have an opportunity to try space activities, participate in physical activities, and launch paper rockets. Terre Hill Days Scheduled In Park By Ann Mead Ash

For John Styer, one of the organizers of Terre Hill Days, planning the yearly event involves mixing beloved traditional activities with a few newer items. “We try to keep things exciting and fresh, while (retaining) the popular (activities),” said Styer. This year’s Terre Hill Days will be held in the Terre Hill Park, 210 Lancaster Ave., Terre Hill, on Thursday through Sunday, July 18 through 21. Terre Hill Days will open on July 18 at 5 p.m. with rides, games, and food. Long before Cavod’s musical theater camps begin, the students who are participating are cast in a show, receive the script, take part in a read-through, and begin to learn their lines. “On the first day of camp, (students) come with the dialogue memorized, and then we choreograph and polish,” said Cordell Huyard, who oversees the camps for Cavod and is directing Disney’s “High School Musical Jr.,” which will be performed by students taking part in the camp being held from Monday, July 15, through Friday,

July 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day at Cavod in New Holland. The camp will culminate with the show being presented in the Cavod Theatre, 685 W. Main St., New Holland, at 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, See Cavod Campers pg 5

Campers who make up the cast of the Cavod musical theater camp’s production of “High School Musical Jr.” met for a read-through before camp began. The campers will present the show at Cavod Theatre on July 27 and 28.
