37th Antique And Classic Car Show Planned By Ann Mead Ash
Harold Kilhefner will bring his nearly 20-year-old red Audi TT to the Terre Hill Park, 210 Lancaster Ave., Terre Hill, for the 37th annual Antique and Classic Car Show to be held there on Sunday, June 2, beginning with car registration at 8 a.m. The car will be entered in class 16, one of 17 classes that are sponsored by local businesses. “Class 16 is for cars, trucks, and motorcycles that are not yet 25 years old,” explained Kilhefner. “It’s a 2001, and it’s unique and different, which makes it perfect for a class like that.” The first six classes are devoted to antique cars ranging from 1900 to 1994. Categories for street rods and street machines are included, along with a couple classes for Camaros, Firebirds, Barracudas, Javelins, and Mustangs. Corvettes, trucks, motorcycles, and
farm tractors will each have a class, and an open class will be designated for vehicles built from 1985 to 2019. Class 17 is for AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) Seniors. “(This class is) for vehicles that have been judged typically at Hershey or some other AACA event,” explained Kilhefner. “They have been judged to a high standard.” Rather than bring in judges to examine that variety of cars, the event will provide each registered car owner with a ballot to vote on his or her favorites. “Everyone votes for everything, and that has worked out really well,” said Kilhefner. Representatives of the Weaverland Valley Fire Company will choose a single car to receive a Best of Show trophy. In 2018, Craig Brossman’s 1971 Mustang Mach 1 received the trophy. “This year there will be a prize packet for the Best of Show,” said Kilhefner, who added that winners will be announced at 2:30 p.m. See Car Show pg 11
Looking forward to the 37th annual Antique and Classic Car Show are (from left) Irvin Redcay with his 1956 Fairlane Victoria, Craig Brossman with his 1971 Mustang, Harold Kilhefner with his 2001 Audi TT, and Richard Shuker with his 1930 Ford Model A. The show will be held in Terre Hill Park on June 2.

According to Samuel Mwangi, a licensed addictions counselor, all addictions are centered in the brain of an individual. “It’s about stimulation of the brain, and it’s a matter of learning different skills for each person depending on their situation,” said Mwangi. “Drugs (of choice) come into play from a physiological perspective, but we (at CCARS) deal with addiction as a whole.” Mwangi is the lead counselor at CCARS (Community Care and Addiction Recovery Services), one of the few licensed establishments offering addiction counseling in the northern and See CCARS pg 12
