July Fourth Festivities Will Support Brittany’s Hope By Chelsea Peifer
Brittany’s Hope provides adoption grants and implements orphan care projects such as a monthly child sponsorship program. To learn more, readers may visit www.brittanyshope.org. With general admission tickets, attendees will have the opportunity to take self-guided tours of all of the buildings and attractions at The Star Barn Village and Ironstone Ranch, as well as the Reflective Oaks Prayer Walk and the restored Herr’s Mill Covered Bridge. Fire pits and yard games will be available for use throughout the property, and arts and crafts vendors will be set up indoors and outdoors. Live demonstrations will showcase glassblowing, flowers, pottery, and blacksmithing. Artists Liz Hess and Terri Palmer will present painting demonstrations inside The Star Barn Museum. Wine tasting will be offered in the arched limestone cold cellar of The Star Barn. See Stone Gables pg 3
•Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Middletown’s Community Days: Thursday to Saturday, July 11 to 13
Stone Gables Estate, home of the historic Ironstone Ranch and The Star Barn Village, will present its third annual July Fourth celebration for the community on Tuesday, July 2, through Thursday, July 4. The entrance for the rain-or-shine event will be at Newville Road, Elizabethtown. Ticket pricing varies and includes the option of a three-day VIP experience, with a VIP Exclusive Day on July 2 from 4 to 10 p.m. General admission hours for the celebration will be 4 to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4. Net profits from the event will benefit Brittany’s Hope, an Elizabethtownbased nonprofit organization that aids abandoned children worldwide.

E-Dance Center recently held its 14th annual dance show at the Hershey Theatre. Hundreds of people have danced with E-Dance Center over the years. Classes for the studio’s 15th year in business will start on Sept. 3, with enrollment taking place throughout the summer.
