GEARS To Offer Fun For All At Eggstravaganza GEARS will hold its annual Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 13, at 10 a.m. at the Elizabethtown Community Park, located off Mount Joy Street in Elizabethtown. GEARS once again will partner with the Elizabethtown Lions Club, Elizabethtown Rotary Club and other sponsors for this event. Egg hunt times and participants’ age ranges are as follows: 10:15 a.m., ages

6 months to 2 years; 10:30 a.m., ages 3 to 6 years; 10:45 a.m., ages 7 to 9 years; 11:15 a.m., ages 10 to 12 years; 11:30 a.m., senior citizens age 60 years and up; and 11:45 a.m., youths and adults ages 13 to 59 years. Prizes and candy will be available for each egg hunt, and a cash grand prize will be awarded in the egg hunt for adults. There is a fee to participate in the egg hunt for adults. All

other egg hunts are free of charge. Additional activities will be available for a nominal fee each; these activities will include a moon bounce, a barrel train

and a soccer kick. Balloons will be available from a balloon artist free of charge. For more information, readers may visit www.getintogears.org.

People of all ages will have opportunities to hunt for eggs during GEARS’ annual Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 13, at the Elizabethtown Community Park.

History. Mystery. Whimsy. Suspense. Science. Romance. Inspiration. Crafting. Cooking. The Mount Joy Church of God (MJCOG) Used Book Sale and Bake Sale will have all of this and more. Thousands of tomes will be available for

perusal and purchase on Friday, April 5, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday, April 6, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the foyer of the church, located at 30 E. Main St., Mount Joy. Book sale coordinator Joyce Hershey explained that the book sale used to be part of the church’s rummage sale, but See Book Sale pg 4

Donegal Trout Unlimited will offer “ Women and Waders: An Introduction to Fly Fishing for Women” on Saturday, April 27, from 1 to 4 p.m. in Elizabethtown. Pam Williams will lead the workshop. The event will offer an opportunity for ladies to connect with other ladies regarding fly fishing and cold water conservation. Participants will learn the basics of fly fishing or brush up on their skills. The program will include an introduction to all the aspects of fly fishing, including casting; fly tying; knot tying; equipment, such as rods, reels, waders, boots, and more; and aquatic insect identification. Information on Trout Unlimited’s conservation mission will also be available. Admission is free.
