Lebanon Valley College’s Sarah Leidich of Mount Joy is one of seven student-athletes named to the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Fall Sportsmanship Team. Leidich is a member of the Flying Dutchmen field hockey team. Leidich played in all 19 games for the Dutchmen and made four starts. The midfielder recorded five points on two goals and one assist. She scored a penalty stroke goal in the season opener at Elizabethtown. Leidich, a graduate of Donegal High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in communication sciences and disorders at Lebanon Valley College.

Cavod slates auditions Cavod will hold auditions for the 2024 Cavod Ballet Theatre production, “To Neverland,” on Saturday, Jan. 13, from noon to 3 p.m., with callbacks by invitation only from 4 to 7 p.m. Those chosen to perform will travel through the Lost Boys’ woods, learn to fly with Tinker Bell, and join the fight against Captain Hook in this rendition of “Peter Pan.” Rehearsals will occur on Fridays from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Friday, Feb. 9. The show will be performed on Friday to Sunday, April 12 to 14. Children ages 8 to 18 may participate, and they must be enrolled in a ballet class. Additional information is forthcoming. She is a member of Student Council, Class Council, Volunteen, National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, History Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, LD Youth Advisory Committee, Mental Health Club, and Mini-THON. She also serves as a counselor in Lower Dauphin’s Outdoor Education program and participates in the Health Careers Exploration Program. She participates in the LD Communities That Care programs Club Ophelia, Study Buddies and On Applebee Pond Puppets. She plans to attend college and major in psychology with the goal of entering the medical field.
