Set in a sprawling, moody mansion complete with secret passages, sliding panels, a library, and a set of potential weapons, the fall play at Donegal High School (DHS) is a fast-paced comedy that cast members compare to a game of Clue. “The Musical Comedy of Murders of 1940,” written by John Bishop in the late 1980s, will be presented on Friday to Sunday, Nov. 16 to 18, in the auditorium at DHS, 1025 Koser Road, Mount Joy. Show times are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 16 and Saturday, Nov. 17, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Nov. 18. Separate ticket prices have been set for adults and for students, and tickets may be purchased at the box office, which will open one hour prior to each performance. All seating is general

admission. Following the opening night performance on Nov. 16, a reception with light refreshments will take place in the cafeteria for anyone who would like to attend and have the opportunity to meet the cast and crew. Additionally, senior citizens age 65 and older are invited to attend a dress rehearsal of the production at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m., and attendees should refrain from arriving early. There is no charge; however, donation baskets will be available. Reservations are not necessary. DHS senior Mackenzie Shirk, who will play the sinister German maid Helsa Wenzel, explained that “The Musical Comedy of Murders of 1940” plants a group of artists, producers, writers, and other creatives in a mansion as a snowstorm sets in. “One by See DHS Play pg 16
