The Milanof-Schock Library and Mount Joy Rotary Club are planning several events in September aimed at raising awareness of suicide and some of the suicide prevention resources available to the community. “We know there’s a need for this,” said Mount Joy Rotary Club co-president Mark Rorabaugh. “Our theme is ‘Inspiring Hope,’ and that’s what we’re trying to do - to remind people that there is help and you don’t have to be hopeless.” Rorabaugh and Rotary co-president Greg Sallade, along with four other Rotarians, completed a suicide prevention training event in March that went over ways to help people who may be struggling with depression and anxiety. “A lot of people need this type of help, and we want to help as many as we can,” noted Sallade.
