RONALD (RED) E.FLOWERS Ronald (Red) Eugene Flowers, Sr. from Marietta, PApassed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 from multiple health conditions. Red was born in Lancaster PAon April 28, 1956. Red was an avid hunter and a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Red is survived by his sons and their wife's (Ron Jr & Kelly Flowers, K Bryan & Rebecca Flowers), Grandsons (Austin, Tim & Ronnie Flowers), Granddaughters (Alyssa, Emily & Storm Flowers), and Great grandson's (Jace & Remington Flowers). Red will be greatly missed but is no longer suffering and is now in peace with his Wife (Nancy Flowers), Daughter (Amy Flowers), Grandson (Larz Flowers), and Great Granddaughter (Callie Flowers). There will be a private graveside burial at the Silver Springs Cemetery.

Market St., Elizabethtown, from 6 to 7 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays from March 21 to May 25 as well as from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturdays from March 26 to June 4, with no class on Saturday, May 28. The multi-level class incorporates yoga poses, conscious breathing, and a meditative focus. No experience is necessary. Participants should wear layers of comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat, strap and block.
Core de Force will be held on Tuesdays, March 22 to May 24, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Fighting Dragons, 101 Cherry St., Elizabethtown. The program includes 12 rounds of bodyweight training and cardio conditioning with boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai inspired combos.
Zumba, a dance fitness class that fuses musical rhythms and unique moves, will be offered on Wednesdays, March 23 to May 18, from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. at Fighting Dragons. The routines feature interval training where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined.
Feel Good Yoga features breath-based flowing yoga sequences. The program will be held from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. on Thursdays, March 24 to May 26, at the Marriage Hub. Participants should bring a yoga mat and yoga block.

The Academy of Country Music announced the nominations for the 57th Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards on Feb. 10. Lancaster County’s American Music Theatre (AMT) was selected as a nominee in the Theater of the Year category. This marks the second time that AMT has been honored with an ACM nomination.
One of five venues in the nation competing for the award, AMT is the only theater in Pennsylvania to be nominated this year. Other nominees are Andrew J. Brady ICON Music Center, Cincinnati, Ohio; Blue Gate Performing Arts Center, Shipshewana, Ind.; Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater, Fla.; and Ryman Auditorium, Nashville, Tenn.
Known for its wide variety of performances, AMT features both touring concerts and original shows. Since 1997, the 1,600-seat venue has hosted numerous legendary country artists such as Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Vince Gill, Alabama, George Jones, Randy Travis, Merle Haggard, Charlie Daniels and Marty Stuart along with some of today’s stars like Scotty McCreery, Josh Turner, Jennifer Nettles, Trace Adkins, Chris Janson, Martina McBride and Gary Allan. AMT has also hosted five of this year’s award nominees: Miranda Lambert, Chris Young, Little Big Town, Tenille Arts and Lily Rose.
Theater of the Year nomination criteria involves industry reputation and includes buying or promoting at least 10 country concerts/dates during the eligibility period, remaining in good standing with all agents and helping to promote country ticket sales. This year’s winner will be announced during the Academy of Country Music Honors, a special event held annually in August at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
The ACM Awards live show will take place on Monday, March 7, at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas and will livestream exclusively on Prime Video.
