HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1105 E. Lincoln Highway, Exton, will present a Halloween Carnival for children on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. The celebration will include games, trick or treating around the church campus, a haunted house, crafts, and fun for the whole family. The Teal Pumpkin Project will provide peanut-free treats. The public is invited to attend. Chester County Library, 450 Exton Square Parkway, Exton, will present a live cooking demonstration on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 6:30 p.m. in the Struble Room. Memorial Bench, Garden Dedicated In Caln Township By Francine Fulton
A ribbon-cutting ceremony for a memorial bench and garden was held on Oct. 13 in Caln Township to honor the late Tom DeFroscia, who was a member of the Caln Historical Commission, the Old Caln Historical Society, the Caln Civil Service Commission and the Caln/Calne Twinning Committee. The bench, surrounded by a garden planted with fall mums, is located next to the historic Hexagonal Schoolhouse on Municipal Drive. The site also includes a plaque listing the organizations that DeFroscia was a part of. Township commissioner Lorraine Tindaro, who served on the historical commission with DeFroscia, was the master of ceremonies for the event. See Memorial Bench pg 5
Trinity AG Moves Family Event To New Location By Francine Fulton

Trinity Assembly of God (AG) will present a free Fall Festival on Friday, Oct. 26, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Charles A. Melton Arts and Education Center, a nonprofit community center located at 501 E. Miner St., West Chester. The event will include a rock wall and children’s games, a costume contest, inflatables, free food and candy. “We’ve done this for the past five years, but (this will be) the first time in the Melton Center,” stated Trinity AG youth pastor Craig Dunaway. “ We wanted be more in the community and not just at our own place.” See Trinity AG pg 3
Run/Walk To Benefit Local Cancer Patients Kindergarten Students Visit One-Room Schoolhouse By Francine Fulton
“This Run’s Personal,” a 5K run and 1-mile walk to benefit local cancer patients, will be held rain or shine on Saturday, Nov. 10, at Downingtown West High School, 445 Manor Ave., Downingtown. The event is being presented by Team CMMD, a nonprofit organization that raises money to fight cancer and provide assistance to cancer patients. “This is the fifth anniversary of the race, and we’d love to make it our most successful,” said Team CMMD member Krista Finegan. “This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Team CMMD Foundation. All are welcome, no matter the fitness level or running speed. We have had many walkers as well.” See Run/Walk pg 11
