The Chester County Antique Car Club (CCACC) will hold its 40th annual car show on Sunday, May 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kimberton Fire Company Fairgrounds, Route 113, Kimberton. More than 600 cars will be on display, including antiques, classics, street rods and more. There will be also be a food court, vendors and door prizes. A disc jockey will provide music. Members of the East Brandywine Baptist Church (EBBC) needlework group not only enjoy knitting and crocheting, conversation and snacks during their monthly meetings, they also create items - such as lap robes, scarves and knitted hats - that are donated to local organizations. The ladies’ group meets on the first Friday of each month from 9 a.m. to
noon in the church foyer. Any woman may join the group, whether or not she is a member of the church. No sewing experience is needed. “We encourage visitors and we encourage anyone from the community (to attend),” said group member Joyce Arters, noting that instruction will be provided. “Ladies can show up and work on a project, and we will help them learn.” “For experienced (stitchers), we help each other,” group member Karen See Needlework Group pg 4
