Beaver Creek Offers WATCH D.O.G.S. Program Meet The “Heroes Of The Hallways”
By Francine Fulton
Offering an extra set of eyes and ears, providing fatherly role models, preventing bullying and affording fathers an opportunity to spend time with their children are some of the benefits of the WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) program that is taking place for the first time this year at Beaver Creek Elementary School. As part of the program, fathers are asked to volunteer for one full day at the Downingtown school, where they will take part in various tasks such as helping the teachers in the classrooms, patrolling the hallways, monitoring recess activities and more. Fathers who are taking part in the program at Beaver Creek, as well as prospective volunteers, were welcome to enjoy treats and beverages with their children during a Donuts With Dad event on Jan. 8.
